OPEN POSITIONS:

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • MAINTAIN AND MONITOR OYSTER NURSERY SYSTEMS (UPWELLERS, TANKS, CAGES)

    • SORT, GRADE, AND SIZE OYSTER SEED

    • CLEAN AND MAINTAIN NURSERY EQUIPMENT AND WORK AREAS

    • MONITOR WATER QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

    • ASSIST WITH INVENTORY TRACKING AND SEED COUNTS

    • IDENTIFY AND REPORT ANY ISSUES WITH OYSTER HEALTH


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ORGANIZATION

    • ABILITY TO WORK OUTDOORS IN VARYING WEATHER CONDITIONS

    • COMFORTABLE WORKING AROUND WATER AND EQUIPMENT

    • ABILITY TO LIFT 40+ LBS

    • PRIOR AQUACULTURE OR MARINE EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS (NOT REQUIRED)

    IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    SOMEONE WHO IS PATIENT, DETAIL-ORIENTED, AND INTERESTED IN THE SCIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY SIDE OF OYSTER FARMING.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • ASSIST WITH HARVESTING, TUMBLING, AND HANDLING OYSTERS

    • LOAD/UNLOAD GEAR, CAGES, AND EQUIPMENT

    • WORK ON BOATS AND ASSIST WITH FARM OPERATIONS ON THE WATER

    • CLEAN OYSTERS FOR MARKET AND PREPARE FOR DISTRIBUTION

    • MAINTAIN GEAR, LINES, AND FLOATS

    • GENERAL LABOR AND SUPPORT WHEREVER NEEDED

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • STRONG WORK ETHIC AND RELIABILITY

    • COMFORTABLE WITH PHYSICAL LABOR AND LONG HOURS ON YOUR FEET

    • ABILITY TO LIFT 50+ LBS

    • COMFORTABLE WORKING ON BOATS AND IN WET/MUDDY CONDITIONS

    • TEAM PLAYER WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

    IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    SOMEONE WHO ENJOYS HANDS-ON WORK, BEING OUTDOORS, AND DOESN'T MIND GETTING A LITTLE (OR VERY DIRTY.
