I thought you can only eat oysters in months with an “R”?

Oysters are at their best in the late fall and early winter. But thanks to refrigeration, and our strict accordance with all regulations, our oysters can be safely consumed year-round. 

How much does all this cost? 

Great Question, if you give us a budget, we work with you to make sure you can offer guests the most bang for a buck.

How Many Oysters do I need for my event? 

As an Appetizer, 2-3 oyster pp. 

As a full station in addition to other food, 3-6 oysters pp. For an oyster centered event, 12+ oysters per person.

Are You HAACP certified? 

Yes, our certification is MD 860 SS and we are licensed to sell shellfish anywhere in the United States.

Do you offer other services? 

In addition to our base service, the “Man and a Pan,” we also offer grilled oysters, steamed shrimp, and charcuterie boards.

We have our own shucker, can you just bring the oysters? 

Absolutely.

Do we have to use oysters from your farm, or can we get additional brands? 

We ask that you buy at least 200 of our oysters for any event, however as a certified dealer we can buy other brands to offer on your raw bar.

We want to serve oysters as a special at our brewery or restaurant, is this something you do?

Yes, we offer staffing service to help your barback or food runners from getting bogged down on a busy shift.

What do you do with the oyster shells? 

We take the shells back in buckets, and donate them to the Oyster Recovery Partnership, where they are used to provide habitat for wild oysters in the Chesapeake.

Why is the shucker fee what it is? 

We make sure that our employees are paid a fair wage for their skill.
